How far ahead does SyllaSync sync?

SyllaSync syncs calendar events up to 10 weeks into the future.

When your source calendar changes, run a fresh sync so your upcoming 10-week window stays current.

Do I need to keep the extension installed after initial sync?

Yes. Keep the extension installed so your calendar can continue to stay current as assignments are added, edited, rescheduled, or removed.

Without the extension, your calendar can become stale because new changes from your LMS are not pushed through your normal sync flow.

Keeping the extension installed gives you a reliable way to refresh your feed whenever your course schedule changes.

Does SyllaSync support mobile browsers?

No, not currently. SyllaSync is designed for desktop browsers at this time.

Extension install and sync flows in this FAQ are for desktop Firefox, Chrome, and Edge only.

How to install the extension ZIP on Firefox

This is the current local ZIP workflow for Firefox while store publishing is not live yet.

  1. Download the Firefox ZIP from the download page and extract it to a folder you can keep.

  2. In Firefox, open about:debugging in the address bar.

  3. Click This Firefox, then click Load Temporary Add-on....

  4. Select the extension manifest file from the extracted folder (typically manifest.json).

  5. Confirm the extension appears in the add-ons list and test it.

Important: Firefox temporary add-ons unload when Firefox fully restarts. If that happens, repeat the load step.

How to install the extension ZIP on Google Chrome

  1. Download the Chrome ZIP from the download page and extract it.

  3. Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).

  1. Download the Edge ZIP from the download page and extract it.
